Ecclesiastes からもう一つ引用します。次の一節です。

天が下のすべての事には季節があり、すべてのわざには時がある。

生るるに時があり、死ぬるに時があり、植えるに時があり、植えたものを抜くに時があり、

殺すに時があり、いやすに時があり、こわすに時があり、建てるに時があり、

泣くに時があり、笑うに時があり、悲しむに時があり、踊るに時があり、

石を投げるに時があり、石を集めるに時があり、抱くに時があり、抱くことをやめるに時があり、

捜すに時があり、失うに時があり、保つに時があり、捨てるに時があり、

裂くに時があり、縫うに時があり、黙るに時があり、語るに時があり、

愛するに時があり、憎むに時があり、戦うに時があり、和らぐに時がある。

働く者はその労することにより、なんの益を得るか。

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?

ここでは、a time to every purpose under the heaven　と言っている点が印象的です。同様のことは、多くの場合に言われていることだと思います。明恵上人の「阿留辺畿夜宇和（あるべきようわ）」、あるいは、三國志に出てくる、孟子の「天の時、地の利、人の和」などと、ほぼ同じような考えでしょう。

私には、この部分には共感します。７０年ほど生きてくると、自分の人生を振り返っても、いいこともわるいことも、時があったように思います。悪あがきしてもどうにもならないし、行動していることでいつの間にか収まってしまう場合もあります。What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?　は合目的的なことではなく、行動することの重要性を言っていると思います。私もそうありたいと思います。

この日誌には、何の目的もありません。が、言えることは、「思考の整理」です。見直すことをほぼしていません。誤字脱字や文章のおかしいところがあるでしょう。人間には一貫性がありません。前後の論理が飛んでいることもあるでしょう。しかし、唯一の目的は、毎日続けることです。ここまではできています。が、この先はどうなるかわかりません。
